A native of Washington D.C., he is a graduate of St. Albans high school and Columbia University. Previously, he has worked as a staff writer at the Washington City Paper, the Columbia Journalism Review, and the Village Voice. His freelance work has appeared in numerous outlets including the New York Times, Slate, and the Texas Monthly. He currently blogs about the media for the New York Observer's Media Mob.
